New Shopping Centre at Drayton

The new shopping centre at Drayton is nearly complete.  We had our final site visit last week, just prior to handover.  Woolworths is due to open in mid January 2014, along with the overall centre.  

The client and builder are happy with the project's progress and we're now all looking forward to seeing the completed tenancy fit-outs.

The New Shopping Centre At Drayton

We had another visit last week to the Drayton Shopping Centre currently under construction.  Drayton is an outer suburb on the south-western side of Toowoomba.

It's progressing well, with lots of blue sky to be seen, boosting the development along on schedule ready for it's opening early next year.

The centre has confirmed tenancies from Woolworths, Chemmart Pharmacy  and BWS, with the remaining 1300 square metres of space occupied for speciality stores.

New Residence & Townhouses, Maroochydore

The new residence and townhouse development at Alexandra Parade, Maroochydore is sure to be a fantastic addition to Alexandra Parade.  

The new residence and townhouses are spread over the site, which previously housed 2 older style unit buildings as shown below.

The main part of the brief from our client was for the new project to maintain a 'Cotton Tree' character in appearance and materials.

Both buildings will host stunning water views and an array of contemporary, yet classic specifications and clever design. When completed the project is sure to be admired by many.

The townhouses at the rear, are situated on 3 levels, each consisting of entertaining, living/dining, and sleeping.  Each will accommodate 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, private courtyard, lift and double garage configuration.

The front building, which is the private residence, hosts 4 levels of contemporary design with 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, a private pool, courtyard and a top level dedicated purely for entertaining and enjoying the beautiful coastline vista.

With only a mere minute walk to Maroochydore beach this private development is sure to impress.

Construction is well underway with a forecast completion for May 2014.  Keep your eye out for it's progression.

The 2013 Queensland Building Design Awards were held on Friday 26 July 2013 at the Brisbane Convention Centre.

Following our recent success at the Regional BDAQ Awards in May BRD Group were delighted to have 3 projects submitted at state level.

New Shopping Centre At Drayton

Construction of the new shopping centre at Drayton is well underway, with all concrete poured.

Steel work is being erected with the roof scheduled to be on by the end of July.

Motolife Dealership, Townsville

The Motolife dealership at Townsville is undergoing defects rectification prior to handover to the client.  The project has been completed on time and to the client's budget.

We are looking forward to the grand opening in a few weeks.

'Motolife' Dealership at Townsville

Our visit to the Motolife Dealership under construction at Townsville this week, saw pouring of the external slabs, and commencement of the internal fit-out with linings and floor tiles being laid.  The project is now at lockup stage and is slightly ahead of the projected practical completion date.

New Shopping Centre at Drayton

Basement works are now nearing completion on the New Shopping Centre at Drayton.  The first of four concrete pours on the retail level slab has now been completed.

'Motolife' Dealership At Townsville

The new Motolife dealership at Townsville is well under construction, with the roof now on, internal wall and floor framing and internal wall sheeting complete.

The electrical fit-out is also well underway as is the external car park slabs.  Painting has also commenced and Phoenix Constructions have advised the project is on track for an early contract completion for early May 2013.
